Cancellation & Refund Policy

Veeraj Foundation is a not-for-profit working in education, health & nutrition, and environment. We value every rupee you entrust to our mission. This page explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for donations, event/workshop registrations, and merchandise sold to support our programs.

1) Donations

As per our charitable mandate, voluntary donations are generally non-refundable. However, we will consider a refund in the following bona-fide cases:

  • Mistaken/duplicate donation (same amount charged more than once).
  • Technical/payment gateway error resulting in incorrect charge.
  • Unauthorized transaction (card/net-banking/UPI used without donor consent).
  • Incorrect amount entered and reported to us within 48 hours of the transaction.

Important: If a donation is refunded, any issued donation receipt (including 80G, if applicable) becomes void and must not be used for tax benefit.

2) Events, Camps & Workshops

  • Cancellation by participant: Full refund if requested ≥ 7 days before the start; 50% refund if requested 3–6 days before; no refund within 48 hours of start.
  • Rescheduling: Transfer your seat to another batch/date (subject to availability) up to 48 hours before start.
  • Cancellation by us: If we cancel or materially reschedule, you may opt for a full refund or a free transfer.

3) Merchandise (Fund-raising Goods)

  • Return/replace within 7 days of delivery for manufacturing defects or transit damage (unused, with tags/packaging).
  • Size/style exchanges subject to stock; shipping may be chargeable.
  • Custom or made-to-order items are not eligible for return unless defective.

4) How to Request a Refund/Cancellation

Email us with subject “Refund/Cancellation Request” and include:

  1. Full name and contact number.
  2. Transaction details: date, amount, mode (UPI/Card/Net-Banking), last 4 digits of card (if card), and reference/UTR/transaction ID.
  3. Reason for refund/cancellation with any supporting proof (screenshots, bank message).

5) Processing, Timelines & Deductions

  • Verification window: 3–5 working days to validate the request.
  • Refund timeline: Once approved, refunds are initiated within 7–10 working days. Bank posting times may vary.
  • Mode: Refunds are processed only to the original payment method.
  • Charges: Non-recoverable gateway/transaction fees or courier costs (if any) may be deducted.

6) Exceptions

  • Requests received beyond reasonable investigation periods (typically > 30 days) may be declined.
  • Benefits already availed (e.g., event participation, used merchandise) are not refundable.
  • Fraudulent/abusive claims will be rejected and may be reported to the payment provider.
